To every sincere prayer an answer will come.
It may not come just as you desire, or
at the time you look for it; but it will come
in the way and at the time that will best
meet your need. The prayers you offer in
loneliness, in weariness, in trial, God
answers, not always according to your
expectations, but always for your good.

May???
I can't believe it's been since May that I've written! Where does time go?!
Life is good. I could moan about some poor health episodes, but...not today! I am thankful for many things! I am thankful for a Mighty God who answers prayer! He carries me through so many trials. If not for them, I'd never know what an amazing God I serve!
I have an amazing husband, who loves me through everything. When he said "I do", he really meant it!
I'm a little lonely today! My friend from Oregon is on vacation...so I'm missing our chats! Last trip she and her hubby took was an Alaskan cruise...this time they're going upstate along the beautiful coastal waters. I always look forward to hearing all the details and seeing all the pictures...
I have also missed all of you! I'm going to try my best to be on here alot more.
Thought I would try to post a few pics for you...hope they come through! I'm used to a more difficult way to post/html things! The new gadgets are for the birds! I'm old school, all the way! lol

We were "sight seeing" on backroads and came across that old iron bridge! On the other side is "Bird's Nest Lodge!" It's three stories high and they offer lodging, not only there, but have houses for rent, cabins, little one or two room units and campsites. I'm thankful we made it across that bridge safely!!!
I adore the picnic table(s) that sit outside that cafe in Cuba, MO! Wish I had one! Something I've ALWAYS wanted is Adirondack furniture! Wish I knew how to make it myself...! (Random thought!) lol
The two pics are of me. I had finished brushing my hair and Mary said "I HAVE to take a picture of your hair from behind...!"
Not my BEST hair-day, but definitely not my worst! lol
Okay, I'm rambling, time to go!
I pray you all have a great day, full of God's amazing blessings!
Love,
Bonnie

Mothers' Day
My Mom and Dad:
I had the great honor of having one of the most wonderful Christian Mothers. She was beautiful, inside and out! She taught us kids the Way to go. She not only led by her teaching, but by honorable example. She was a wonderful lady who came from Earle Arkansas. She too, had wonderful parents. My Momma's name was Chloie. She was born in 1918 and was promoted to Glory on October 3rd, 1998. I just cannot say enough good about my Mom. She had a magnetic personality, and everyone was drawn to her. In the 1970's, in our Church, the pastor didn't call on women to pray aloud. It just didn't happen! Imagine the surprise when our pastor called on my Mom to pray aloud! People were shocked! AND my Momma could pray! She could stir your soul with her prayers! Momma could cook like nobody else! Near everything was made from scratch, and quite mouth watering! Nobody but nobody could beat her chicken and dumplings! She'd been cooking since she was about nine years old! She made a Walnut Wonder Cake that was just Heavenly! Everyone wanted her apple pie recipe. My Momma was a prayer warrior! If you had a problem, it became HER problem! She dearly loved her family. She liked to tell about something her father said once. He was visiting her in MO from Arkansas, and was standing in their living room, talking to all those there. He said "If any of you miss Heaven, then you will HAVE to go around a mountain of prayers that me and Momma have prayed for you!" Momma had alot of trials in her lifetime, but she handled them with prayer and grace. I was 20 days shy of being 40 years old when I lost my Mom. Twenty seven days after losing her, I developed what was later diagnosed as Optic Neuritis, a symptom of M.S. I "SO" needed my Momma with me then! I find throughout my life, I need her. The older I get, the more I need her! I draw on her strength, her prayers. I honest to the Good Lord wouldn't take a million dollars for ONE memory of her! So, HAPPY MOTHERS' DAY, MOM! I love you bigger than the sky!

Tired.
Here I sit, near 4 a.m. and I've had NO sleep!
Had an interesting few days...
Sunday we went out to see my sister, but she wasn't home...
I later learned she was at my neice's house for my nephew's
birthday! We were planning on trying to see my sis and her
husband, my neice and her husband and my nephew and his wife.
We were driving the backroads....kinda got lost!
We found highway J! We were on the 'backside' of it, however!
Before we found my nephew's house, our daughter got a severe
migraine. It was so severe, that, well, she, how can I say
this nicely? She lost her dinner all over her clothes!
THEN her car, which we were using, started making a terrible
noise and pulled to the side! We went home and our daughter
got cleaned up and went to bed...and had that migraine until
the next day. ~sigh~
Gary took her car to the shop. I 'think' it was bad bearings?
The mechanic said that it's the grace of God that we weren't
killed! The inside of the tire was SHREDDED!
It will set us back about $400.00 now!
AND....now the new tire that they put on? It has a leak!
Gary has to take it back to the garage today!
Monday was just kinda slow.
Tuesday we were surprised when our youngest son brought
his family up! It was their oldest daughter's third
birthday! They left the kiddos with us and went to the local
Wal*Mart and bought her a cake and some gifts.
That was a nice surprise!
Their car had been 'down' for some time, and was just fixed
that day! They only had a truck to get around in before,
and with a family of 5....they weren't going anywhere together!
Gary is sick with a cold. Mary is getting a scratchy throat.
I...well, with Multiple Sclerosis and being so overweight....
you can imagine how I am.
I thank God for the 'better' days.
I miss my boys and their families.
I miss my sister and her family.
I'm working hard to lose weight, as I'm the biggest I've ever been.
SAD. It's not easy. I was raised by one of the absolute most
beautiful, wonderful Christian ladies on God's green earth!
My mother was taught by her mother how to cook.
Let's just say I'm in LOVE with Southern cooking (cuisine!).
Homemade chicken and dumplings.
Homemade dressing. (Midwesterners/Northerners call it stuffing!) lol
Homemade buttermilk biscuits dripping with butter.
Fried chicken smothered in gravy.
I think you can see why I am obese!
It sure is good...but not worth the end results!
I need to learn balance.
Control.
Self control!
I try.
I fail.
This time, I will succeed, by the grace of God!
If I don't, I will pick myself up, dust myself off, and
continue trying until I die.
I have to.

Ghost Stories...
I think back on my childhood with various
degrees of emotions.
Some good, some not SO good!
I remember when family would visit.
It seems that two subjects would always surface.
Talking about God and His love and mercy
was one subject, ALMOST always enjoyable.
When they'd begin to delve into the book of Revelation,
I'd look at the door and wish I were brave
enough to leave! lol
The talk of the plagues and such sent
shivers down my spine!
The other subject was about ghosts.
There, I've said it!
They'd start off talking about experiences they'd had
of the unexplained, and tell of stories they'd heard!
Now if you don't think that a story about "Headless Frank"
will scare you as a child...all I can say is, you had to be there!
By the way, THAT was a true story that occurred in Tallapoosa Missouri.
Oh! Wait! Here's another one!
Get this:
"Rawhead and Bloodybones!"
NO wonder I'm a scarred adult! lol
The funny part is:
...when all their blood curdling chatter was done,
...company would leave, and we were left whimpering in the corner!
What did they think?
We'd jump up and go on about our lives like THEY were as ADULTS!
Nooooooooo! Not on your life!
The torment continued, for DAYS!
Oh! And at bedtime...wasn't that a hoot!
They'd tuck us in bed...then tell us "Don't let the bedbugs bite!"
Shoot! I was up all night checking for insects!
I never found one, but I'm still LOOKING! lol
Hmmmm...maybe that's why I CAN'T SLEEP nights?! lol

Update and Sad Story
It's getting warmer here, the snow and ice are melting away,
leaving it's damages behind. I feel so badly for those who
have power outages. I have relatives near Neelyville, MO.,
who are suffering with no power. I have alot of diarist
friends from Kentucky who are also without power. Please
keep them in your prayers.
Yesterday I cleaned house. Not a small task, as I suffer
with Multiple Sclerosis along with being overweight.
After working in the kitchen, my hands became so overly
fatigued. But through it all, I just thank God I was able
to do what I did. God is my Rock. I couldn't make it
through a day without Him.
I read a story that broke me down to tears.
I'd like to share this with you:
Bay City, Mi. - In the dead of winter, anger is boiling over on South Chilson Street in Bay City, Michigan over what happened to 93-year-old Marvin Schur.
A neighbor found the widowed World War II veteran wearing four layers of clothes, wrapped in blankets on the floor. There were icicles hanging from the kitchen faucet. Schur froze to death in his own home.
Medical examiner Kanu Virani noted, "We actually found frostbite on his foot, so he was undergoing that process many hours before he became unconscious." Talkback:

Neighbor Cindy Howell was outraged. "He froze to death inside his home. In his home, he froze to death. That's wrong."
Schur had fallen months behind in his electric bills, so the power company installed a limiting device on his meter: use too much power, and the device trips, cutting off all electricity. The homeowner then needs to go outside to hit a re-set button.
It's unclear whether Schur knew the limiter had been placed on his meter, or whether he was told how to re-set it.
Howell added, "The city has to be held accountable for that. You don't turn off anybody's electricity in the middle of the winter when it's below zero temperatures."
The power company says it has used limiters on delinquent bill payers for 18 years without incident... until now.
Philip Newton of Bay City Electric Light and Power said, "We are looking at this good and hard to see if we could possibly have avoided this."
Those with older relatives who live alone say that utility companies need to do more than just look at this situation -- they say companies need to think twice about pulling the plug.
